Summer Camp Ideas

Madison School and Community Recreation (MSCR), a department of Madison School District offers lots of youth and adult programs

MSCR partners These are area businesses that offers specialized youth programs

YMCA Summer Camps Preschool, School age and Teen programs for all three Dane County YMCA locations

UW-Madison Continuing Education & Outreach Youth Programs, Activities and Resources. These are UW Departments and Agencies that offer specialized youth programs

UW-Madison Institute for Chemical Education Chemistry camps are held annually during the summer as one-week sessions for 5th-8th graders.

4-H Gateway Academy The Society of Manufacturing Engineers Education Foundation has developed a summer curriculum for Middle School students to introduce them to engineering concepts and careers. During the week, campers work together in a fun, exciting environment using leading-edge technologies to sample such disciplines as robotics, aeronautics and computer design.

Madison Country Day School Summer Camp youth programs. Madison Country Day School Camp is a place where boys and girls can have fun while learning about themselves as people. We encourage them to try new things by creating a safe and enthusiastic environment where fun and respect are the top priorities.

Middle School U Week-long Enrichment Courses for youth entering and attending middle school. Locations in Madison west side and Stoughton.

MATC Girl Tech Summer Camp Five, fun-filled mornings. Participate in hands-on activities led by professional women in many areas.

UW Preschool Lab offer a school-age day-camp program, called the “Roustabouts”

Hoofbeat Ridge Horse camp offers Resident and day camps with bus transportation from Madison west side. From September thru May, a variety of youth programs are offered on no school days, spring and Christmas vacations and riding weekends.

Camp Anokijig Available to boys and girls 7 to 16. Programs for three days, one week, two weeks. or up to nine weeks of summer fun.

Badger Bots Our exciting camp experience is available to students entering grades 4-8 next school year. The camp is two weeks long.

Madison is a great place to go for a family bike ride or visit one of the many Madison parks or hang out a the zoo.

There are lots of farmers markets around the area on different days. It is a great place to get kids interested in trying something new:

Madison Star Basketball ClubThe Madison Stars Basketball Club is for girls in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Girls wanting to play for the Stars must reside in or attend a Madison East HS district school.
