S.P.A.R.C

Hawthorne Elementary is proud to introduce the S.P.A.R.C. bag program for 2008! S.P. A.R.C. stands for School, Parent, and Reading Connection. Not only does the program aim to make learning fun and exciting, it is designed to encourage families to play an active role in this process.
Our families are invited to enroll their elementary school age child in the program each year. Once enrolled, the child is eligible to "borrow" a special backpack for a two week period several times a year. The backpacks contain books at many reading levels for all members of the family, a game or other toy, and other activities that share a common theme.
Some themes found in the K-3 bags are: sports, weather, families, animals, dinosaurs, insects, space, the dark, food, and many others! The best part about S.P.A.R.C. is that it is free!! document and form...
