Summer Reading

There are some great resources to keep your child interested and engaged in reading this summer. I have included some suggested summer reading lists for your children.

You can also look at their Lexican score for some suggested reading level suggestions.
Half-Price Bookstore once again has their summer reading program.
The Madison Library also has a Summer Reading Club

Silent Auction

is Tuesday May 17. We are looking for volunteers to help organize and to solicit donations. The Silent auction is a fundraiser for the Hawthorne fund of Foundation for Madison's Public School that is used just at Hawthorne School. Hawthorne has $1253 available to grant out from over $42,000 in our fund. The auction is a fundraiser to be able to add additional money to our fund go we can have even more for grants each year. You can also make a tax deducatble donation directly to the fund

Congradulations

Hawthorne was one of 153 schools in the State that were awarded with a Wisconsin School of Recognition award at the state capital. What this is about and who else received the award.

Hawthorne Sign

As the weather gets nicer the schedule for the pace for the Hawthorne Sign is picking up. We are still looking for volunteers with tiling knowledge and experience. We can also use cash donations for supplies.
